Practice

Vita Praxis is a private, deliberately contained practice working with high-functioning adults who operate under sustained cognitive, professional, or public pressure.

Clients are typically capable, high-performing, and intellectually sophisticated, yet constrained by persistent patterns of self-criticism, obsessive thinking, or internal pressure that do not resolve through standard approaches alone.

The work is grounded in a humanistic, relational, and existential framework, with integration of evidence-informed methods where appropriate to support regulation and pattern change.

A deliberately small caseload is maintained to ensure continuity, depth, and consistency of work.

Who I Work With

– Senior professionals, executives, and leaders
– Academics, scientists, and high-level researchers
– Individuals in high-responsibility or high-visibility roles

Presentations commonly include:

– Persistent self-critical or perfectionistic patterns
– Obsessive or ruminative thinking
– Performance-related anxiety and pressure
– Burnout and sustained cognitive strain
– Difficulties relating to identity, self-worth, or comparison

Clients are often highly capable, but find themselves limited by patterns that impact both professional functioning and personal life.

How I Work

The work is collaborative, structured, and psychologically precise, while maintaining relational depth.

Focus is placed on identifying and addressing the underlying patterns that maintain distress, rather than relying solely on surface-level strategies.

Where appropriate, work is conducted alongside psychiatric care, with careful alignment between psychological and medical treatment.

The emphasis is on clarity, containment, and meaningful change, within a stable and confidential setting.

Discretion

The practice is structured to ensure discretion at all levels.

A deliberately contained caseload, controlled scheduling, and minimal external visibility are maintained throughout.

Particular care is taken where clients hold positions of responsibility, visibility, or influence.

All work is conducted within a consistent and confidential framework.

Contact / Referral

Vita Praxis accepts a limited number of new clients and professional referrals.

Enquiries are considered on a selective basis, subject to fit and availability.

Referrals from psychiatrists, GPs, and other professionals are welcome.
